Yelford Manor House dates back to 1499. Probably one of the oldest country houses we have the pleasure of working at in Oxfordshire. During some strong gusts, a much loved weeping willow collapsed into the pond.
Our tree services were requested to restore the weeping willow to where it originally stood. With limited access for large equipment the plan included a set of waders, winch and small loader. By the end of the day we had successfully removed the majority of the willow from the water.
All that remained was to set up the rigging to winch the main stem back into place. All went well and after some landscaping work we now have our eyes on the willow pollard and await the new growth.
